Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 19, 2026
1. Scope and operator
This policy applies to the OC Electrical Quotes website and quote-request service. References to “we,” “us,” and “our” mean OC Electrical Quotes. The service is currently intended for Orange County, California homeowners, renters, and property managers.
2. Information we collect
We collect information that you provide directly through the request form, including:
- Name, phone number, and optional email address.
- City, property type, and owner, renter, or property-manager status.
- Requested service, timeline, budget range, permit-help preference, and preferred contact time.
- Safety-concern selection, photo-checklist selections, and job notes.
- For panel-upgrade requests: current and requested panel capacity, panel brand and location, utility service feed, reason for the upgrade, and planned electrical loads.
- First-party campaign labels included in the page address, such as source, medium, campaign, creative name, search-term label, and landing-page path.
- Your consent to contractor sharing and acceptance of service disclosures and terms.
We may also process limited technical information, such as network address and request timing, to operate rate limits, investigate abuse, and protect the service. Campaign labels are stored with a submitted request so staff can compare lead quality by source. The current pilot does not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or purchased contact lists.
Do not submit payment-card data, bank information, Social Security numbers, passwords, medical information, or unrelated sensitive information.
3. How we use information
- Receive, review, score, and organize quote requests.
- Identify missing details and contact you about your request.
- Send limited internal alerts to authorized administrators.
- Match and, after your consent and manual approval, share a request with selected local contractors.
- Track contractor response and request outcomes.
- Measure the quality of first-party campaign sources and control advertising budgets without building cross-site profiles.
- Maintain security, prevent spam, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
- Comply with law and protect users, contractors, and the service.
4. Categories of recipients
We may disclose information to these categories of recipients:
- Selected contractors: only after homeowner consent and manual administrative approval. Contractor access should be limited to information reasonably needed to respond to the request.
- Service providers: hosting, security, communications, or storage providers used to operate the service. The private Telegram alert intentionally omits homeowner contact details.
- Legal and safety recipients: government authorities, emergency services, advisors, or others when reasonably necessary to comply with law, address fraud or security, or protect safety and rights.
- Business-transition recipients: a successor or advisor involved in a potential sale, financing, reorganization, or transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal obligations.
We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Contractor sharing and choice
The quote form asks for consent before a request may be shared with selected contractors. Submitting a request does not guarantee that a contractor will receive, accept, contact, quote, or complete the job. You may contact us before routing to withdraw a pending request, although we may not be able to retrieve information already delivered to a contractor with your consent.
6. Retention
Our current configured schedule makes identified test leads eligible for deletion after 7 days, closed leads eligible after 90 days, and interaction records eligible after 180 days. Open stale leads are placed in a human review queue rather than deleted automatically. We may retain limited information longer when reasonably required for security, fraud prevention, disputes, legal obligations, or an active request, and may delete information earlier when it is no longer needed and deletion is permitted.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the pilot, including restricted staff access, protected administrative APIs, short-lived secure staff sessions, same-origin and request-verification controls, local secret storage, rate limiting, signed audit records, encrypted backup tools, and manual contractor routing. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Access, correction, and deletion requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your quote request. We may need to verify your identity and retain limited information when required for security, disputes, or law. Contact us using the information below and include enough detail to identify the request without sending additional sensitive information.
9. Browser privacy signals and third-party tracking
The current service does not track users over time across unrelated third-party websites for advertising. We may read first-party campaign labels from the page address when a request is submitted, but those labels do not identify activity on unrelated websites. Because cross-site tracking is not used, the service does not currently change its behavior in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Other parties are not permitted to collect cross-site activity through the current pilot. This section and the consent flow must be reviewed before analytics, advertising pixels, remarketing, or similar technology is added.
10. Children
The service is intended for adults requesting property-related electrical work and is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit information about a child.
11. Accessibility
If you have difficulty using the service, contact us. We will provide reasonable help to complete a request through another available method.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. When appropriate, we may provide an additional notice before the change takes effect.
